Guess what, I’m one of lucky guys who witnessed and experienced the first flight flied from Changi Airport (Singapore) to H.AS Hanadjoeddin International Airport (Belitung). It was on August 9th, 2018. We went there for I-Sing Indonesia and Belitung International Music Festival events which were held on Agust 11th, 2018.
Couple months before this first flight flied, Muhammad Iqmal, the owner of I-Sing Indonesia, along with his team run Belitung International Travel Fair event in Singapore. Surprisingly, there were many people came and bought the business class ticket for coming to Belitung for I-Sing Indonesia and Belitung International Music Festival events.
People who came to these events by that flight mostly were celebrities. They came from different countries such as Singapore, Australia, Sweden, even from Cambodia. These celebrities promoted Belitung to their fans after they enjoy the beauty of that island and the events.
Anyway, besides using plane, the passengers from Singapore can take an alternative way to Belitung directly. They can sail by using their own luxury ship (Ximula Sail). They actually have ever done sailing to Belitung on Belitung Anniversary, last March. They brought delegations from China and France.
